Introducing Pennacook Offset
Premium Uncoated Printing Paper from ND Paper – Rumford, Maine
ND Paper proudly presents Pennacook Offset, an uncoated printing paper that blends modern papermaking technology with the deep-rooted history of Rumford, Maine. Produced at our Rumford mill, this offset sheet is engineered for optimal pressroom performance, offering excellent printability, and consistent quality.
A Legacy Carried Forward
The name Pennacook is steeped in the heritage of this region. Long before it was known as Rumford, the area was established in 1779 as New Pennacook by a grant from Massachusetts. In 1800, the township was renamed Rumford, but the Pennacook name remains a proud reminder of the region’s origins, resilience, and connection to the natural landscape.
Motivation from the Falls
At the heart of this story is the Rumford Falls—the largest waterfalls east of Niagara. These majestic falls have inspired the community since the very beginning, providing inspiration to generations of craftsmen. Today, that same spirit of innovation continues to drive our work.
Investing in the Future of Paper
With the recent installation of a new size press on R15, along with strategic mill-wide upgrades, ND Paper is investing in the future of quality, efficiency, and sustainability. These enhancements allow us to deliver even greater surface uniformity, improved print quality, and better ink holdout—ensuring that Pennacook Offset not only honors tradition, but also meets the demands of today’s print market.
