ND Paper receives $1.7 million in tax credits for Biron Division expansion

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) this week announced an agreement to provide ND Paper with $1.7 million in tax credits over three years to support our Biron Division expansion — a project expected to create 27 new mill jobs.

As previously announced, we have several major capital projects planned for Biron, including the conversion of the B25 paper machine from white paper to containerboard products and the construction of a water treatment and fiber recovery plant. Several enabling projects to clear the way for these significant capital expansion projects are already underway in Biron.

“We are extremely grateful for the support of WEDC and the State of Wisconsin,” said CEO Ken Liu.

“These strategic investments not only create 27 new positions, but also preserve the jobs of our existing workforce of well over 300 hardworking employees. Our vision is to transform the Biron division into a world-class facility that is sustainable

for the next 100 years.”
