Randy Hotham

Mill Specialist

“I am as optimistic about the future of the Rumford mill and ND Paper as I was when we first started developing specialty papers at Rumford. It’s great to know the legacy of all the paper makers who preceded us will live on for many years to come.”

Paper industry veteran and Mill Specialist Randy Hotham began his career as a spare on the Rumford mill’s paper machines in 1983. After working through the ranks on the paper machines Randy lead the mill’s statistical quality control efforts, where he taught his team to use statistical tools to improve product quality. From there he moved to product development, and his experience with customer trial runs and field testing was a natural fit for our Technical Customer Service team, where he’s been ever since.

Randy has studied statistics at the University of Kentucky, and served as a State Representative in the Maine Legislature. He and his wife of 36 years, Trish, have two grown children. Randy enjoys working on projects around the house, spending time with his family, and playing golf with his wife.
