We are looking to hire top talent to join our dynamic team! ND Paper offers full benefits and a competitive compensation. We are currently seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst focused on Plant Maintenance and Materials Management.

 

This position is responsible for implementing and supporting solutions that optimize business systems with an emphasis on the SAP systems and relative bolt-on systems.  This includes identifying business requirements and translating them into executable specifications and implementing systems or updating system configuration settings to develop information technology solutions.  The Business Analyst will work closely with the business and functional areas to identify key processes used to drive value for ND Paper and to leverage our investment in information technology. This position will work with ND Paper’s SAP instance, PM systems, MM systems, etc. and their user groups in support of building and delivering ND Paper’s strategic vision for enterprise applications and its business processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate business requirements into system changes and update configuration settings accordingly
  1. Develop solution design
  2. Identify system configuration settings to be updated or new functionality to be implemented
  3. Make the appropriate configuration changes and test for effectiveness
  • Analyze complicated business processes, translating them into detailed requirements specifications which can be understood by the business and are executable by technical resources
  1. Drive the business requirements process, documenting high level needs
  2. Work with teams of IT and business resources in the creation of functional design documents that serve as the basis for development
  3. Approve requirements and design documents, and assist throughout the build phase, to ensure requirements are understood and met
  • Play a key role on business teams, gaining a seat at the table as a valued partner
  1. Establish and maintain a partnership to understand business goals and issues, and provide potential solution opportunities
  2. Serve as liaison between the business/manufacturing areas, application/infrastructure support and maintenance teams, strategy and PMO organizations, and 3rd-party solution providers
  • Partner with the business to ensure the best return from IT investments
  1. Provide subject matter expertise as it relates to ND Paper business process and associated systems
  2. Leverage process knowledge to assist in the promotion of cultural change throughout the business
  3. Leverage technology to assist the business with process change
  4. Support business goals as well as IT strategic goals
  • Lead Business/Information Technology initiatives
  1. Assist the business in the IT Governance process to secure funding
  2. Deliver the business solution on-time and within budget, meeting the overall business requirements
  3. Lead the business through the testing process for technical changes, assist in script development and integrated test plans for system changes
  • Provide subject matter expertise as it relates to Plant Maintenance and Materials Management Systems
  1. Build deep knowledge of PM/MM systems at ND Paper
  2. Provide thought leadership for the planning, design and execution of initiatives to build integration points between ND Paper’s systems
  • Support the PM/MM functions
  1. Provide 24×7 support for critical system issues in human resources
  2. Monitor work order queue and resolve PM/MM issues reported

Experience Required:

  • BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or Business
  • 5+ years’ experience in information technology or related business experience
  • 3+ years’ experience implementing and supporting SAP PM and MM Modules
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and business acumen
  • Demonstrated high energy, self-motivated, driven individual
  • Experience working with internal customers to develop solutions
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution skills and the ability to drive consensus
