ND Paper is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited, the largest containerboard producer in China and Asia, and a leading paper product manufacturer globally. We are an environmentally-friendly company that manufactures various types of high-quality pulp, paper and paper-based packaging materials. Our mills in Rumford, Maine and Biron, Wisconsin are integrated paper & pulp facilities, and our mill in Fairmont, West Virginia is one of only three in the world that produces air-dried, recycled pulp. We anticipate our fourth mill in Old Town, Maine will reopen in 2019. ND Paper is proud of our more than 1,300 dedicated employees, who together produce 1.1 million metric tons of pulp and paper annually.

The Sales Director will report to the Senior Sales Director.   This role will focus on ND Paper’s containerboard business, supporting corrugating medium and liner board volume and revenue targets through the on-boarding of new, independent box producers.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Identify and develop key containerboard independent converter accounts in support of ND Paper’s North American production capacity
  • Establish a network of key contacts within all accounts by fostering long-term and value-added relationships
  • Travel as needed throughout assigned territory to both current and prospective customers

Building the ND Paper Value Proposition

  • Establish ND Paper as the solution provider within the assigned region
  • Advocate on behalf of customers within context of protecting the company’s goodwill, reputation and viability
  • Provide unique market and product expertise to customer base; create value as a subject matter expert

Supporting Operations

  • Provide insight, intelligence and expertise that complement the SVP’s Sales & Marketing strategies
  • Develop a 12-month rolling volume and pricing forecast for assigned customers
  • Support Logistics/Production Planning efforts to optimize machine and delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with Credit team to resolve customer payment issues
  • Engage in Product Development efforts within the company to differentiate ND Paper from other producers

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience selling Containerboard products
  • Ability to develop long term relationships with customers
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
