ND Paper, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nine Dragons Paper (Holdings) Limited, the largest containerboard producer in China and Asia, and a leading paper product manufacturer globally. We are an environmentally-friendly company that manufactures various types of high-quality pulp, paper and paper-based packaging materials. Our mills in Rumford, Maine and Biron, Wisconsin are integrated paper & pulp facilities, and our mill in Fairmont, West Virginia is one of only three in the world that produces air-dried, recycled pulp. We anticipate our fourth mill, in Old Town, Maine, will reopen in 2019. We are proud of our 1,200 dedicated employees, who together produce more than 1.2 million short tons of pulp & paper annually.

We are currently seeking a Junior Associate Buyer. This ideal candidate is someone that is highly motivated, with strong work ethic, who demands excellence in oneself and others. The Junior Associate Buyer will be responsible for sourcing new suppliers, managing vendor relationships and contracts, and establishing close working relations with mill purchasing managers to best support mill needs. The successful candidate for this position has a deep bench of analytical skills, understanding of the interplay between macro and micro, and is resourceful in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategically source and vet new suppliers
  • Actively participate in negotiations with the team
  • Create and negotiate contracts with suppliers
  • Establish strong relationships with the purchasing and technical teams at the mills
  • Place purchase orders as required
  • Various assignments on cost analysis

Required Experience:

  • 1-3 years of purchasing or supply chain experience preferred
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong work ethic
  • Demand excellence in oneself and others
