We have opened our US headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, IL and are looking to hire top talent to join our dynamic team! ND Paper offers full benefits and a competitive compensation. We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Engineer/Assistant Project Manager to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop project schedule for each project assigned
  • Organize, implement and maintain scheduling management system supporting identified projects and plans
  • Collaborate with different project managers and take direction regarding individual presentation style for schedules while maintaining continuity of the basic schedule requirements
  • Provide 2-3-week schedule forecast as well as participate in meetings
  • Work with project managers to generate and track change orders
  • Utilize SAP regularly to assist project managers
  • Travel to set up projects
  • Expedite shipping equipment and track to site
  • Develop and utilize spreadsheets to monitor costs
  • Monitor project budgets against monies spent; track and project monthly spending throughout project
  • Monitor risks and opportunities inherent to project and project estimated cost of project at completion
  • Provide monthly project updates to corporate leadership team

 

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of capital project management experience
  • Paper and Pulp industry experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project for scheduling
  • Proficiency with Primavera preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing company in the pulp and paper industry
  • Able to work independently with strong communications skills across organizational functions
  • Attention to detail and an ability to organize and multitask
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (50-75% if based at Corporate in Chicago)
